Illegal Immigration, Amnesty and Obamacare

Obamacare To Cost American Families $15,200 A Year

March 22, 2010
With the November elections coming up fast, it would be a good time to take another look at Obamacare and what a burden it will be –right in the middle of a serious economic Depression. Despite the illusions of many people in America, Obamacare is nothing less than FORCING most working Americans to buy health care insurance. We’re already shelling out a lot of money for mandatory car insurance even though people somehow got by without car insurance until about 1975. The insurance companies however buy crooked politicians and hence we have mandatory car insurance and soon mandatory health care insurance. How much will this wind up costing us? A lot. Below is an article from CNS giving some alarming details. –James Buchanan

The U.S. House of Representatives voted 219-212 on Sunday night to socialize health care in the United States, making the government the paymaster of, and giving it sweeping regulatory authority over, the U.S. health care industry which represents one-sixth of the U.S. economy.
The legislation also enacts a dramatic and unprecedented diminution in the individual liberty of citizens. It does so by mandating that all Americans buy a government-approved health care plan while redistributing wealth on a massive scale by promising annual federal insurance subsidies to all Americans who earn less than 400 percent of the poverty level, which is currently $88,200 for a family of four.

Five self-professedly “pro-life” Democratic congressmen joined Stupak at a Sunday press conference to say that they would vote for the health care plan after President Obama promised he would sign this Executive Order dealing with the accounting mechanisms that will be used by abortion-providing, federally subsidized health insurance plans. These congressmen were Rep. Marcy Kaptur (Ohio), Rep. Kathy Dahlkemper (Pa.), Rep. Steve Driehaus (Ohio), Rep. Alan Mollohan (W.V.), Rep. Nick Rahal (W.V.) (more…)

Amnesty By Decree, Again?

Amnesty By Decree, Again?

by Jeff Davis
For about the third time this year, rumors are flying that Obama is going to grant millions of illegal aliens amnesty by decree completely bypassing Congress.
An article in USA Today reports: “The Obama administration is changing the federal immigration enforcement strategy in ways that reduce the threat of deportation for millions of illegal immigrants, even as states such as Arizona, Colorado, Virginia, Ohio and Texas are pushing to accelerate deportations. The changes focus enforcement on immigrants who have committed serious crimes, an effort to unclog immigration courts and detention centers. A record backlog of deportation cases has forced immigrants to wait an average (of) 459 days for their hearings, according to an Aug. 12 report by Syracuse University’s Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC), which analyzes government data.”
Why not simply put them on a prison bus headed for Mexico as soon as 50 illegal aliens pile up in any big city? That way, you’d minimize incarceration time and keep deportation costs to a minimum. If they ever enforced the immigration law in Los Angeles, they could be filling up a new bus every two minutes. (more…)

Battle over Illegal Immigration Continues

by Jeff Davis
Once again we have proof that the federal government of the United States wants the illegals here, and will not tolerate any attempt on the part of US citizens to resist that policy.
A recent news article reports “A federal appeals court ruled Thursday that Hazleton, Pa., may not enforce its crackdown on illegal immigrants, dealing another blow to 4-year-old regulations that inspired similar measures around the country. The 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Philadelphia said that Hazleton’s Illegal Immigration Relief Act usurped the federal government’s exclusive power to regulate immigration.”
Any claim that the Feds have an “exclusive right” to enforce the law is complete and utter nonsense. Just as a local law officer has the right (not to mention the duty and obligation) to detain someone with a suitcase full of counterfeit $20 bills –even though the Secret Service is technically in charge of counterfeiting– the same law officer has an obligation to arrest illegal aliens.
